Rachael Ray
Rachael Ray is an author who writes about food. She is from New York and was born in 1968. There was a restaurant in Massachusetts, which was owned by her family. Not just that, her mother had her own restaurants in New York which were managed by she herself. Ray’s marriage was in 2005 with John Cusimano, who was a lawyer and a singer. At the moment, she has homes in Greenwich Village, Lake Luzerne and in New York.
Ray first worked in a candy corner looking after the foods department out there. The store was in Macy, Newyork. After that, she got work at “the Sagamore” in Lake George. It is a famous hotel, where she was looking after a pub. Then she started her “30 Minute Meals” programme, in which she teaches people how to cook food in less than 30 minutes. It was a hit that time and this made her famous all around the world. She thinks that it is the experience that she got in those early days, that prompted her to make start such a cooking programme. After the success of her “30 Minute Meals”, she started getting offers from various radio and tv programmes.
The Oxford American College Dictionary has included a phrase that she used in most of her tv programmes. The phrase was “EVOO” – which meant “extra-virgin olive oil”. People started to use the phrase publicly after seeing her use in her shows. It is the wide popularity of the phrase, it got included in the Oxford American College Dictionary. There are a lot of such words and phrases that she used in her shows, but EVOO is the one which became much more popular than the others.
She used to give pose for the mens magazine “FHM”. It was in the year 2003, she first posed for them. Her name was there in the “FHM-U.S.’s 100 Sexiest Women 2004″ and “FHM-U.S.’s 100 Sexiest Women 2006″. She was with 92′nd second rank in the 2004 rankings and with 71’st rank in the 2006 rankings.
